Over two days, the Sustainable Innovation Forum 2019 (SIF19) united 623 public and private sector climate leaders to accelerate the actions needed to drive forward the Paris Agreement.
Day one opened with high level policy discussions and inspirational keynote speeches from leading ministers, cities, multilateral organisations, investors and private sector innovators and solution providers. Five key industry pillars were addressed: Circular Economy, Energy Transition, Sustainable Mobility, Climate Finance and Natural Capital. Each session focused on innovative technologies, practical solutions and funding models.
Day two focused in on innovation and emerging technologies, providing thought leadership, deep-dive discussion and capacity building to accelerate the partnerships and solutions required to deliver the aims of the Paris Agreement. We also integrated two new formats, the Lightning Pitches – where Start-Ups and Scale-Ups from the Innovation Hub pitched to a panel of judges – and the Roundtable Solutions Sessions – a series of break-out session focusing on technological solutions for 10 core climate related challenges.
